Hilarious. My mind went right to this when I heard the name of the product. It’s possible there were no women on the product development team and it’s also possible that they simply didn’t do any linguistics testing or cultural clearance on the name. It’s too bad because it looks like a fun product. Btw, I think the MadTV skit was done in 2007. Didn’t anyone think to do a LITTLE searching on the web before locking the product name? I know they own the trademark to anything that begins with “i” but someone needs to look at the broader picture. I’m sure someone is developing a “Flo comes to town” application for the iPad right now.

Hi, my name is Charlie and this is my story.

Rebecca, my person, and I loved each other very much. Rebecca was a fifteen-year cancer survivor but the last few years have been tough for her. Suddenly, she died and so did my friend Mocha. I was very scared and I hid from everyone for days and days. Finally, Rebecca’s nephews and friends found me and now I’m staying with some Foster People.

I am FeLV and FIV negative and I’m about a year and a half old. I’m in good health, although I’m a little skinny because I didn’t eat for a few days. My Foster People feed me all the time so I’m getting bigger again. I like to sit on laps and watch TV. I like most other cats and I’m looking to share a house with one or two other kitties. Duck and Cover

So, every day when I drive to work I take Bicknell down to Main Street in Santa Monica because it gives me a clear view of the ocean and every day I can see the ocean is a good day. Anyway, there’s this house that has two plastic ducks out front, where the mailbox normally is placed, and the owner dresses these ducks in custom-made outfits. I walked over there yesterday to take a photo of the ducks, who were dressed in the lovely beach outfits on the top. I met the owner’s tenant who is a lovely guy and we chatted for a bit and exchanged cards. Today, he emailed me to tell me that the outfits had been changed to a back-to-school theme, complete with cheerleader ducklings (which you can’t see in the photo above). I love that this lady does this for the sole purpose of entertaining herself and the passers by.
